Last week we spoke to Calvin Corelli. If you didn't get a chance to listen to his brave episode, I encourage you to do so. Today's conversation features the soft and strong Nomi Corelli. One of the great joys I have in doing this podcast is after the recording is done, I ask my interviewees who *they* think I should interview. Calvin immediately and without hesitation suggested his wife, Nomi. Now, as sweet as that is, I was intrigued by his reasoning why Nomi was a perfect candidate for the show. he told me just a little bit about her story and I was hooked. This is partly because I interviewed Calvin around the time that our episode featuring Marie Schaeller's story of child rape went public. That story and the importance of advocating for the victims and survivors of trauma is near and dear to my heart. Anyone who has gone through what she has gracefully overcome is someone I want to talk with and in turn, someone whose bravery I want to share with you all. Today you'll hear Nomi and I unpack some of her bravery and the specific elements that contributed to her own strength of healing from childhood sexual abuse. As a body therapist, latin dancer, and fashionista, you can tell that Nomi relies heavily on the creativity of movement to learn, integrate or express anything. Brave Take-Aways Okay, so beyond the Bare Naked Bravery Adult Coloring Book, your Brave Take-Away from today's show is to take a minute to go a little slower and access a heightened sense of observation of yourself and your surroundings. As Nomi and I mentioned, this observation can be such a gift if we are willing to take it and use what we learn from our observation. If you have something else that you took away from today's Bare Naked Bravery, then we want to hear about it. You can find Nomi Corelli and myself on facebook, twitter, instagram, and more. Go ahead and tag us so we can chime in and cheer you on. Another fun thing is that Nomi has gifted us with a 4-part video series of how to connect with our own body-centered wisdom. There's a link to that in the shownotes for today's episode. Just go to barenakedbravery.com and search for Nomi, spelled n-o-m-i.
