ArtZany! – Radio for the Imagination 09/11/2015 Ann Etter is the co-producer with Shari Setchell and co-host with Michelle Drenth of Vaudevesque, a fundraiser for the Northfield Arts Guild back by popular demand (first featured in 2013) during Defeat of Jesse James Days. Lu Ann Heyer is a fiber artist from Faribault who has participated in the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival for 13 years. Vaudevesque is sponsored by Northfield Yarn. A little Vaudeville and a little Burlesque, this old-fashioned variety show features singing, dancing, comedy and a few surprises. Acts include names like Michael Lammers, Birch Carlson, Christina Schweitz, Sam Ryden, Peter Webb, Randy Ferguson, and the ever-popular Pogue-le-les- a ukulele troupe (Pronounced like po-ga-lei-lees to rhyme with ukulele) Riverfront Fine Arts Festival The Riverfront Fine Arts Festival is a juried art festival that began in the 1970s! Currently, it takes place on the second weekend of September and runs in conjunction with the Defeat of Jesse James Days. The RFAF is sponsored by the Northfield Arts Guild. Set along the idyllic Cannon River walkway, over 65 fine artists and craftspersons sell their work – ceramics, jewelry, paintings, fiber, wood and steel – there is something for everyone. Saturday, September 12 & Sunday, September 13, 2015 Time: 10:00 am-5:00 pm Cannon River Walkway in downtown Northfield Free to attend – Rain or shine! northfieldartsguild.org It is a uniquely situated festival-both urban and idyllic- nestled along both banks of the Cannon River downtown. It is easy for visitors to navigate the artist booths along the riverwalk.
