Sibling rivalry seems to be a dysfunctional system that narcissistically injured parents create in order to be the center of attention. From a mind map perspective the more the siblings clash the more the parents can gain the attention and primary position in the family. In terms of contact versus no contact, it is a personal decision as to how to handle parents and family who demean devalue and destroy.
